To the Editor,

I find it interesting that you continue to report on the UNLV College Republicans’ untruthful attacks on Prof. Dina Titus’s salary and workload. Neither they nor you ever bother to mention that the advisor of the College Republicans, Associate Professor Ken Peffers in the MIS Dept. in the College of Business, is the highest paid faculty member in the department, excluding the chairman, and made $173,376.54 in 2009 -2010. Furthermore, according to a report done by Channel 8 (, he is among the 20 highest paid faculty members at UNLV. And guess what? Prof. Peffers is on paid leave this year and is not even on campus; he is teaching 0 students in 0 classes and has no other assignments. Why don’t you tell the whole story?
